Class C Motorhome Fulltime Living

Are you a weekender, traveling in your Class C motorhome over the summer or off and on throughout the year, but you are eager to assess the possibility of living on the road fulltime? Are you worried whether or not you will make the right decision by living in your Class C motorhome all day, every day? Are you nervous about finance? Lifestyle changes? The long term commitment?

Read below for three tips on changing from traveling weekends or short vacations with your Class C motorhome to living life on the road full time. You will find that living in your Class C motorhome fulltime is not as overwhelming as you may think. You can easily make your Class C motorhome into a more traditional home. It can be a smooth and hassle free experience.

Three helpful tips to how and why you should move into your Class C motorhome and experience life as a fulltimer:

1. It is necessary that you think positively about your Class C motorhome and all that it can offer you while living on the road. You are sure to know that you can upgrade your Class C motorhome in an abundant number of ways so that you are living in the lap of luxury. You can add a gourmet kitchen or a luxury bath suite. You can put in satellite TV and/or wife. The possibilities can be endless for your Class C motorhome, and do not forget how much you will save on electricity and other utilities.

2. Some people who live in their motor home or travel trailer full time recommend selling your traditional home. This means that you do not keep it if you plan on living on the road fulltime. You could also think about renting your regular home, just in case. Do not think about paying a mortgage and RV note, think wisely and rent it out or sell it.

3. It will take time for you and your fellow RV traveler(s) to get used to living on the road fulltime, but it will happen. There is a definite change in lifestyle, but you can get used to the differences over time. Give yourself six months, if you are hesitant. Do not sell your home yet, try renting it for a small amount of time so that you can make sure you are comfortable with living fulltime on the road in your motor home or travel trailer.

A great piece of advice is for you to ask around. Get in touch with other motor home owners who have made the conversion to being fulltime. Check out RV blogs, ask questions, and get answers that help you in your decision making.

Do not get overwhelmed in over thinking about changing from being a weekend RVer to living in your motor home fulltime. The life on the road can offer you much freedom, and you can have this freedom with the luxury of living in your home on wheels.

Somewhat smaller in design the class C mini-recreation vehicle is not short on amenities or conveniences so don’t let the word mini fool you. They come in very complete packages with everything you need for the perfect family vacation.

The class C mini-recreational vehicle comes in many makes and models from different manufactures. All are built on the ¾ to 1 ton Van chassis single axial and dually but only the cab and chassis are used for the class C RV.

The new class C Mini-RV will price out at between $35,000 to as much as $80,000 depending on what options you want included. They range in size from 20’ up to 28’ in length and the extra slid-outs for a lot more living space when set-up for use.

Referred to as a mini-motor home the Class C is a smaller version of the larger motor home. It has all the same conveniences as in the larger models. The Class C Recreational Vehicle is built on the standard Van chassis of the heavier duty class ¾ to 1 ton versions. The cab section is kept and the RV section is added on.

The Class C comes in 20 to 28 foot in length and range $38,000 to $68,000. The Class C has many of the same amenities as the larger motor home some with more luxuries than others. You just find them a little more scaled down from the Class A motor home.

Retirees find the Class C perfect in size and not quite as expensive to buy and operate as the Class A. They have a nice functional living space in just a smaller motor home. The work very well for both extended stays and weekend getaways. They have extra bunk over the cab and the main bedroom is located in rear it adds a little more in sleeping arrangements then the Class A. This makes them a little more flexible for larger families.

The Class C RV will sleep 6 to 8 people and some of the newer models now have the slide-outs for the sleeping and dining areas.

Driving a Class C RV is more like driving a normal size vehicle kind of feels like driving a Van. The dually provides a little more solid driving experience with a chassis that is a little more heavy duty.

They still come loaded with plenty of value and luxury the floor plans are roomy and make RVing a pleasure. You will find plenty of storage comfortable furnishings and prices that are affordable.

Another nice option you can get with the Class C RV is you can get them diesel powered. Diesel costs more but you more than make up for the cost with much better mileage. Not to mention the diesel engine will last 3 to 4 times longer than a gas burner. The extra power that the diesel has makes pulling the extra weight make life a lot easier also.
